According to Thomson Reuters, he is among the top highly cited researchers in the world. He is a Foreign Member of the Linnean Society London (1990), and of the Ukraine Academy of Sciences (1997), an Honorary Member of the Ukraine Botanical Society (1995), of the American Society of Mammalogists (2002), and the Israel Zoological Society (2007). He received Honorary doctorates from World University (1990), the University of Duisburg-Essen (2009) Germany, Yorker International University (2009), and International Biogeographical Centre, Cambridge (IBC, UK).

Dr. Kaveh Ostad-Ali-Askari has been supervised by Prof. Mohammad Shayannejad during his Ph.D. study in Department of Civil Engineering, Najafabad Branch, IAU, Najafabad, Iran in 2019. Kaveh has published a large number of scientific books, reports, chapters, journals and conference papers. Kaveh has contributed to more than 350 publications in journals, books, chapters and technical reports. He has been successful in a number of research grants. Kaveh has been editorial board member of 4 ISI International journals and technical reviewer for about 10 scientific journals. He displays an extensive teaching experience in groundwater modeling system and hydrogeology, environmental science and climate change area. Kaveh has taught and developed course material for about 10 subjects at various levels and supervised over 5 graduate students. Kaveh has worked with several companies in groundwater area. During his American University Dubai & Canadian University Dubai affiliation, Kaveh has developed investigation and forecasting of quantity of groundwater resources using GMS model under climate change conditions. Recently, he had scientific visits from several counties particularly United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and UAE for scientific collaborations.
